For Commissioners

Wild Minds provides specialist therapeutic alternative provision for young people aged 11–25 with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, and complex needs. We accept referrals from local authorities, schools, and EHCP teams on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Young People We Support

Who Wild Minds Supports

We specialise in supporting young people aged 11–25 who are unable to access or sustain mainstream education. Our provision is designed for those with the most complex and overlapping needs, who require a therapeutic, relational approach to re-engage with learning.

  • Autism Spectrum Condition
  • ADHD and executive function needs
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health)
  • EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
  • Complex trauma and adverse childhood experiences
  • School refusal and placement breakdown
  • Neurodivergence and sensory processing needs
  • Post-16 young adults aged 18–25
  • Young people who have been out of education
  • EOTAS (Education Other Than At a School) packages

EHCP Suitability

The majority of our placements are EHCP-funded. Wild Minds can accommodate young people where Section B identifies therapeutic, emotional, and vocational support needs, and Section F includes specific therapeutic provision, functional skills, and preparation for adulthood outcomes.

Rolling Admissions

Unlike many providers, Wild Minds accepts referrals throughout the academic year. We do not require young people to wait for a new term — we work to agree start dates that are right for the individual and reflect capacity at our sites.

Multi-Site Provision

With three specialist sites — The Farm Campus, Acorn House, and Cookham Lodge — we can offer blended provision that changes as a young person progresses. Sites can be combined within a placement to provide the richest, most appropriate provision.
